Color the School Red

FCCLA Week is a period of time when the members of this club come together and show their pride, gather new members, and give back to the community. This club balances all their activities through the week.

FCCLA advisor Mary Mennella is happy that her members work together. She is glad this week is a success.

“I am most proud of all our good deeds and the leaders we make,” Mennella says.

Giving back to the community is a year round thing, but they put emphasis on it this week.

“We did the JDRF walk, Stop the Violence, toy drives, and so much more,” Mennella says. “It really is wonderful to help our community and show how we do it.”

The president of the club, sophomore Jessica Pischke, enjoys the opportunities that FCCLA Week brings.

“We get to show the school what we are,” Pischke says. “You get to learn new things and share them with the school.”

The ability to rely on someone is an important thing that FCCLA teaches every day through just becoming friends.

“It really is a family,” Pischke says. “People help you and you help people, it’s an amazing thing to do.”

A new member, freshman Madison Smith, can feel the love and is happy with what she has done.

“I wanted to get out and join a club,” Smith says. “The memories and experience are irreplaceable.”
