D.C. Trip, Is It Worth It?

The sophomore English classes will be taking a trip to Washington, D.C. on March 10 to visit the Holocaust Museum.

“I’ve been to the museum in 8th grade and it is about the Holocaust and the history of it,” sophomore Anthony Tomasko said.

English Teacher Elizabeth Gurkin said, “During the Washington, D.C. trip students first get to explore the Holocaust Museum. It is about an hour and a half long process, but it is so worthwhile.”

The trip will take around 18 hours.

“We will be leaving around 6 a.m. and returning around midnight,” Tomasko said.

“It is a Saturday and we are gone from sun up to sun down,” Gurkin said.

This trip will cost $70.

“It is a lot of money, no doubt. However, it is worth it,” Gurkin said. “The bus has wifi and big comfy seats. And any money spent in the city is normally helping create a memory, so I think it is 100 percent worth every penny to have new experiences.”
