Southern & Salty Designs Review

A local business ran by the parents of a student worked hard to get where they are. Southern and Salty Designs is a in-home business that does custom items. From shirts and hoodies to jars and glasses they do it all. They do etched glass, embroidery, vinyl, and heat transfer.

Southern and Salty Designs started in August of 2016 with nothing but the word of mouth to spread their business. Now, they have an email and are working on making a website. They use the owner’s Facebook account as a means of spreading the business.

The quality of their product is very good. They put effort into every single item they make and won’t send it out if they’re unhappy with the product. Southern and Salty Designs is known for their creative designs and have done work for Alicia’s School of Performing Arts and Jewel’s Formals as well as many title-holders.

The turnaround time for their products is very quick considering that most of them are designed, made, and pressed by hand. Most products are delivered within about 2 weeks from the date ordered. They always get their products delivered before they are needed.

Southern and Salty Designs is priced fairly with some of the cheapest prices for their work in this area. For embroidery they usually charge one dollar for each 1,000 stitches and for heat transfer and vinyl the price varies depending on if the heat transfer is regular, glow in the dark, glitter, or holographic. Usually the heat transfer range from 10-25 dollars if they buy the item being personalized and the vinyl stickers are usually between three and seven dollars.

The products that Southern and Salty Designs produces are worth the money. If taken care of and washed the right way these products can last forever. I recommend Southern and Salty Designs for any personalization or custom designs.
